The Dräger X-am 5000 is a portable multi-gas detector for personal air monitoring. It can monitor one to five gases using four sensor positions and catalytic and electrochemical sensor technology. The gases detected depend on the installed sensor configuration.

Five-Gas with Low-Range Phosphine — Dräger configuration VN00114
Oxygen (O₂), combustible gas (LEL), carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and phosphine (PH₃) with a 0–20 ppm PH₃ measuring range. This configuration uses the combined Dräger H₂S-LC/CO-LC sensor 6813280, allowing five gases to fit in the instrument's four sensor positions.

Use Notes
A unit detects only the gases covered by its installed sensors; the standard four-gas configuration does not detect phosphine. Bump test the instrument before use and calibrate each sensor at the interval stated in the applicable Dräger instructions. Follow the fumigant label, applicable regulations, site procedures, and the Dräger instructions for use. A detector reading does not by itself establish clearance, re-entry authorization, or worker safety.
