Product Overview
WEEVIL-CIDE® is a restricted-use aluminum phosphide fumigant used for the fumigation of labeled stored commodities, animal feed and feed ingredients, processed foods, tobacco, certain non-food commodities, and labeled burrowing rodent applications.
When exposed to atmospheric moisture, WEEVIL-CIDE releases phosphine gas. Phosphine is a true fumigant gas used to control listed stored product insects and their pre-adult life stages in properly sealed fumigation environments. It may also be used for labeled rodent burrow treatments when applied according to the product label.
Key Features
- Controls listed stored-product insects and their pre-adult stages (eggs, larvae and pupae), plus labeled burrowing pests, when used according to the label and applicator manual.
- Suitable for fumigation of grains, nuts, seeds, processed foods, animal feeds, tobacco, and non-food commodities
- Includes ammonium carbamate for added inerting agents (CO₂ and NH₃) to reduce fire hazards
More product information
WEEVIL-CIDE is commonly used in stored grain, grain handling, seed storage, animal feed, milling, warehouse, commodity storage, and certain burrowing rodent control programs where fumigation is required. It may be used during storage, transport, or labeled burrow applications when the treatment is performed according to the product label, applicator manual, and all federal, state, and local requirements.
This product is a Restricted Use Pesticide due to the acute inhalation toxicity of phosphine gas. Sales are limited to properly licensed applicators or approved purchasers. Proper training, safety equipment, gas monitoring, placarding, fumigation management planning, aeration, and disposal procedures are required.
For farmers, grain elevator managers, flour millers, seed suppliers, and animal feed facilities, WEEVIL-CIDE can be an important tool when fumigation is necessary to control insects in stored commodities or when labeled burrowing rodent applications are needed. Always read and follow the full product label and applicator manual before use.
Important Purchasing Note:
Restricted-use pesticide documentation is required before shipment. LTL delivery is required, and palletized shipping charges may need to be confirmed after order review.
